Consistency is the key to house training a dog. This applies to everyone in the household. Everybody in the house has to treat the dog the same way. If you are trying to teach the dog not to jump up when someone comes in, everybody has to work together. Everyone must use the same techniques and use the same command words. It is important that everyone turns their back to the dog and ignores him the moment he starts jumping. Tell the dog to sit. Once he has settled down, praise the dog. Unfortunately this will only work if everybody follows this. If just one person allows the dog to jump on him or her then the poor dog is getting mixed signals. And it will take a lot longer to train the animal.

Once your dog recognises his name you can begin working on the sit command. Get your dog’s attention and then slowly move a treat over the dog’s head. As the dog tries to follow the treat his legs should go down. The moment that the dog’s bottom touches the floor give the reward, and praise.

Always use the same words to the dog. The dog’s name followed by the command word sit. Dog commands have to be clear and consistent. It is a good idea to start practicing this exercise while the dog is on his leash. That ensures that the dog does not leave during a dog lease training session and will help to keep him focused. If your dog does not respond right away keep trying. Do not push on the dog. This will provoke an immediate opposite reaction from your dog.

Trivia is one of the few games that has no set number of players. You can play by yourself. Or you can play with almost any number of people on a team.

The age of the players is not important. If you want you can have children playing against the adults or mix up the teams and the level of the questions. There are trivia games geared specifically to children which will allow them the same chance of winning as the adults.

Unlike many games and sports, trivia transcends gender. Woman and men can play against each other or on the same team. Sometimes it is even fun to play trivia based on gender i.e. have the men answer what are considered traditional woman’s questions ( fashion and cooking) and have the women answer men’s traditional questions ( mechanics and sports).

You can decide how long a game will last. 5 questions or 100, the choice is up to you. Or maybe you will decide just to ask the questions randomly and see who knows the answer without keeping score. It’s a great way to pas the time while you are travelling.

Where you play does not matter. You don’t need a field, a court or even a board. As long as you have a list of trivia questions you can play anywhere.

As one of the most versatile games of all time it is no wonder that it continues to gain in popularity.

One of the signs of a cheating boyfriend is a sudden stint of secrecy. A boyfriend all of a sudden becoming more secretive can signal that he may be cheating. As an example, does your boyfriend spend a great deal of time on the internet or phone? If so, what does he say when you ask him what he is doing? If you are given a “none of your business” type of reply, suspect that something may be going on.

In reference to phone and internet use, does your boyfriend imediately get off of the phone whenever you show up? Does he shut off the computer or try to prevent you from seeing what he was doing? If so, your boyfriend’s concealment may mean that he is trying to cover up an outside relationship.
